MoS2 is a friction modifier, and friction modifiers are the classic cause of wet-clutch slip. So read LIQUI MOLY's own wording on this product, from their US technical data sheet: “Suitable for all 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, with or without wet clutches.” Their German sheet says the same thing — auch bei Ölbad-Mehrscheibenkupplung, also with oil-bath multi-disc clutches.
LIQUI MOLY's dosing instruction is simple: one 20 ml tube per 1 US quart (1 litre) of oil, added at the oil change. Most motorcycles take three to four quarts, so a single tube does not finish the job — this is a three-pack.
It is colloidal molybdenum disulfide in mineral oil, ground to a particle fineness of 0.3 micron so it stays suspended and passes through fine filters. LIQUI MOLY's claim: it “provides immediate friction and wear reduction” and forms “an extremely protective and pressure-resistant boundary layer… on all wear surfaces.”
Part 20296, made in Germany. The same product is catalogued as 20555 in Europe and 22100 in Canada — if you have seen those numbers, this is that tube.
LIQUI MOLY sells two MoS2 additives and they are sold side by side. One is fine in a wet clutch and the other is expressly not. Here is what LIQUI MOLY says about each, in their own words.

LIQUI MOLY also lists it as “safe with catalytic converters”, “miscible with all commercially available motor oils” and “also suitable for use in transmissions and final drives.”
A note on ratings: LIQUI MOLY does not claim a JASO MA or MA2 rating for this additive, and we are not going to imply one. JASO is a specification for finished oils, not for additives — your base oil carries the JASO rating, not this tube.

We also ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and Canada, where the exact cost is calculated at checkout before you pay. Aerosols travel by ground only and cannot go by air.

Oil occasionally leaks in transit. Photograph the box before you unpack anything else and email sales@calbestsupplies.com within 5 days of delivery. We replace it or refund it in full, shipping included, and in most cases you do not return anything.
